Art Residency 2017

Parrsboro is in a part of the province that I have never visited, and from what I hear it's quite a magical place. I will have 2 weeks to focus just on my art. There will be opportunities to get out and paint plein air, collaborate with local artists and offer an open studio to the public. I will be in Residence from September 4 - 17. I have been trying out my new Panpastels. I bought these in the summer and haven't really used them much yet. I really like the loose lines they produce. You can't get ...

The New Chicken Series!

oil paintings of chickens
These little guys are all painted on 5 x 5 inch cradled birch panels. These panels are great for small work they make it seem bigger than it really is. I dropped these off at Argyle Fine Art today even though a couple were still not quite dry. Check out my Gallery to see them all. UPDATE: As of Friday September 23rd 4 of these have already been sold.
