This is one of the largest pieces I have painted. It takes up a lot of room in my small studio. I wanted to play with patterns in this one. This is the first painting in my new series "Striped Socks" I started with an underpainting or Grisaille in Burnt Umber and white. I put in the grey and blue wall as well at this point.
