It's Preshrunk time at Argyle Fine Art again! I love this show. I think it is my fav. This year I'm doing some animals...cows and pigs to be exact. All these little guys are 4 x 5 inches and on cradled birch panels. UPDATE: All these little guys have found new homes. Photos from the show

The New Chicken Series!

These little guys are all painted on 5 x 5 inch cradled birch panels. These panels are great for small work they make it seem bigger than it really is. I dropped these off at Argyle Fine Art today even though a couple were still not quite dry. Check out my Gallery to see them all. UPDATE: As of Friday September 23rd 4 of these have already been sold.

The Girl in the Red Dress

This is one of the largest pieces I have painted. It takes up a lot of room in my small studio. I wanted to play with patterns in this one. This is the first painting in my new series "Striped Socks" I started with an underpainting or Grisaille in Burnt Umber and white. I put in the grey and blue wall as well at this point.

Ten Days of Teddy Bears

Challenges are always...well challenging! I did 30 days of hands last year, then 30 days of chickens in January. The chicken challenge was tough. I had originally chosen pears, but after doing one, I realized that I would probably be bored, not to mention the challenge of finding a variety of different pears during the winter months in Nova Scotia! So onwards to my new challenge...Teddy Bears for 10 days. I actually only painted one teddy bear. This little bear was given to me by my Mom many ...
