The pieces in this show are the beginnings for an ongoing project entitled "100 Dresses". In this solo project I will be creating 100 paintings and sketches of dresses that I have either purchased from thrift stores or have had donated to me. My solo show "Conversations with an Urban Crow" is opening on April 13. The opening reception is from 6:30 - 8:30. There will be approximately 30 pieces for sale, with sizes from 4 x 4 up to 24 x 24. Here's a sneak peak!

I have been offered a 2 week Art Residency by the Parrsboro Creative, here in Nova Scotia. Parrsboro is in a part of the province that I have never visited, and from what I hear it's quite a magical place. I will have 2 weeks to focus just on my art. The other day, I was at the Gallery giving a demo on pastel painting. As I have been painting little chickens in oils for a while, I thought doing a few pastel chickens would be fun. Here are the little guys I painted.   

Six more chickens made their way to Argyle Fine Art a few days ago. Painted on 5 inch birch panels, these little guys look great on a wall or a shelf! Here we have Peabody, Roland,  Lilly, Cooper, Mr Sulu (Redford was missing in action at the time of the photo shoot!). Drop by Argyle on Barrington Street in Halifax and take a look.
